Twitter User Consolidated All Untrue Videos Of The Russian-Ukraine Conflict
As tensions escalate between Russia and Ukraine, it has become harder to discern between real and fake news. A Twitter user compiled a thread of misinformation being circulated about the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
In the thread, Uzair Rizvi mentioned that people should be more sceptical of unverified videos
Some video footage was actually from a Russian airshow in 2020.
A chemical warehouse blast footage from China was also being circulated as an explosion in Ukraine.
This is an old image of a midair collision in 1993, not a Russian plane being attacked by Ukraine.
A defence analyst should know better than sharing without fact checking.
Currently there are a lot of videos claiming to be from Russia and Ukraine circulating around the internet.
Another Twitter thread collated the footage that may have come from the ground itself. This thread also highlights that some of the videos may be unverified.
Rob Lee emphasised that everyone should be discerning when it comes to videos about the situation there.
Twitterati echoed their sentiments and expressed their feelings with regards to the conflict.
Civilians are the ones who pay for the consequences of war.
The Ukraine-Russia tensions are a cause for concern with many calling it the start of WW3. With Russia invading Ukraine from all sides, and Ukraine returning fire to protect its citizens, the ones who suffer are the civilians.
The world needs peace not bloodshed. The past two years have been hard on everyone and this war will just impact recovering economies.

As much as we try to avoid it, there is a strange kind of pull as we continue to doom scroll, in the pursuit of being updated on what’s happening on the other side of the world.
These vultures who propagate fake news and propaganda are not helping. Due to them, real footage may end up being drowned by the deluge of rubbish online.
We do not need a world war 3 when the world is just starting to heal. Let us pray for the Ukrainians and for Russia to stop their senseless assault on innocents.
