A recent post sent in by a Stomper backfired when netizens decided to blast him for being an annoying complain queen.
Flynn sent in a picture of the basketball court near block 273 Compassvale Link accompanied by a complaint saying that the noise level generated by kids playing there was unacceptable.
“These kids are always at the basketball court near Blk 273 Compassvale Link. They are constantly screaming and blasting loud music. I wrote in to the school principal but nothing has yet to be done!” – Flynn
It is understandable to have a certain amount of noise when people are engaged in a game of basketball during the day. Netizens responded by asking what exactly the problem is when the kids are enjoying themselves by keeping fit.
They had a few interesting suggestions for the contributor, and it made sense.
Most agreed that it was a location problem and it was beyond the control of anyone who decides to use the courts for recreational purposes.
At the end of the day, adolescents will be adolescents. They need the outdoor time to keep fit and healthy. It is much preferable than them being cooped up inside their rooms playing video games all day.
Luahan Wartawan: It seems like more and more Singaporeans are dissatisfied with their lives and all they want to do is complain.
I don’t see the problem with the kids playing during the day. You can’t expect a silent game of basketball or soccer, can you? It is understandable if they were making noise at night when people are resting.
In the days when I was growing up, we were an equally rambunctious bunch. We played, screamed, and shouted as we played block catching during the day. We blasted music at the courts as we chilled. Since when enjoying ourselves became a crime?
Maybe the contributor had a deprived childhood and don’t understand the noise that comes with camaraderie.
Take a chill pill and get a life. Schools have more issues to be concerned with than your unnecessary complaints.
