Three women were charged in court on June 27 for allegedly organizing a procession without a permit around the perimeter of the Istana, a prohibited area, to support the Palestinian cause
Sobikun Nahar, 25, Siti Amirah Mohamed Asrori, 29, and Annamalai Kokila Parvathi, 35, were involved in soliciting attendance online
Mossammad and Amirah were each charged with organizing the procession, while Annamalai was charged with abetment

The procession took place on February 2, 2024, involving about 70 people
Public sentiments about the issue has been mixed since the media coverage on June 27
Some applauded their bravery for speaking out the truth while others find their actions inciting racial and religious tensions in Singapore
