SCDF Found Out That Man Who Saved Life At Jurong Lake Actually Passed Away Recently
A Good Samaritan who helped save a life at Jurong Lake was commemorated posthumously after SCDF found out his identity. SGT3 Mohamed Shariff passed away in a traffic accident on September 14.
On May 29, a man collapsed from a cardiac arrest while cycling at Jurong Lake gardens.

His life was saved thanks to 3 passerby who acted quickly and carried out CPR on him till the SCDF ambulance arrived. Two of the civilians have been identified as Tang Jie and Leong Wai Kit, on duty Sports SG lifeguards at Jurong Lake Gardens Swimming Complex.

In a Facebook post, SCDF was commending the two selfless individuals and asked for the 3rd Samaritan to come forward so that he too could be given the due recognition. Late Shariff’s friends mentioned in the comments section that he was the man responsible; however, he too lost his life recently.
He was on a motorcycle involved in an accident at AYE with 4 vehicles including a trailer, a lorry and an SCDF ambulance. According to a post on Traffic Accident.com FB post, Shariff was dead on the scene after the accident.
Late Shariff was a well loved individual by his friends, team mates and the community.
Condolences were poured out on Facebook, where people remembered him for his goodness.

Even when off duty, late Shariff was true to his calling which is to save lives regardless of where or when. Condolences to the family and may his soul rest in peace.
