Mini Food Trend Reaches India, IG Page Reaches Almost Half A Million Followers
There is nothing that’s more enticing than the fragrant smell of Indian food in the air. But what about mini indian food? Can it attract the attention of people the same way? Apparently it can as proven by Instagram page minikitchenindia.
The page is run by two brothers, Ranjeet and Sanjay, who are from India. According to Ranjeet, he was inspired when he saw mini food being made on a Japanese channel 4 years ago.
“I saw a Japanese channel on YouTube 4 years ago then I started.”
He then started his own channel and the rest is history. Mini Kitchen India has over 460k followers. The videos range from making indian favourites like mutton curry,
pav bhaji (street food style mashed vegetables with bread)
and dahi puri (pani puri with yoghurt)
to international dishes like pasta,
pizza,
and an adorably tiny chocolate cake.
It looks like a real life scaled kitchen with appliances, furniture and utensils.
The mini kitchen is equipped with mini utensils like a pressure cooker, knife, and stove. Much like the utensils, the food is real and edible despite looking like toys.

Netizens were impressed by his skills and dedication to his craft.
One asked if handling such tiny utensils were hard for him.
Some wondered where he found the vegetables. The vegetables are real and it is from his farm.
His cooking videos even inspired others to make the dishes.
There is something therapeutic about watching such videos.
Ranjeet mentioned that they make USD3000 monthly from Instagram, Youtube and Facebook for doing these videos. When asked if they had any future plans, he said that he wanted to upgrade the mini kitchen.
We wish Mini Kitchen India all the best with their future endeavours. Keep on making such amazing tiny cooking videos.
Reporter’s Opinions: I love cooking but I don’t have the patience or dexterity to scale down to such an extent.
These videos are always soothing to watch, it brings me back to when I was younger and I had a dollhouse equipped with a kitchen. I used to pretend to cook for my dolls and that caught on when I grew up. Only now, I cook for real people.
But USD3000 monthly is lucrative for such content. I wish them all the best and keep on creating more videos.
