Man Slashes Woman Believed To Be His Wife, In Broad Daylight
A viral video of a man seen slashing a woman with a cleaver at Liang Seah Street made its rounds on social media platforms. The victim is believed to be the wife of the slasher and a chef at a nearby hotpot restaurant.

The man then tried to run away from passersby who were throwing items like chairs and metal standees in his direction. It was an attempt to stop him from slashing the woman further.

He then walked away towards a deserted area and was seen trying to slash his own wrist.

He seemed to change his mind as he then brought the cleaver towards his neck in what seems to be a slashing motion.

Police were seen trying to get the man to cooperate and tased him when he seemed to refuse.
Netizens were shocked as it is rare to see a slashing incident in broad daylight.
Many appreciated those who came out to help the woman.
Straits Times reported that SCDF received a call for assistance at about 5pm and two people were sent to Tan Tock Seng hospital from the site.
According to the report, a staff member from a nearby eatery said that she saw the victim being chased out of the restaurant by the cleaver wielding man. He then pushed her to the ground before going on a hacking spree.
At the time of writing, the police have yet to release an official statement about the incident.

What possessed these people to go on a slashing spree? You really think you can escape the law here in Singapore? Have y’all gone loco? You’re ruining your own future. And possibly a torn ass when you get caned once the court delivers its verdict.
No one has the right to cause grievous hurt to another. Please seek mental health help if you feel like you have nowhere else to go. Violence is never the answer.
