Liverpool’s Joe Gomez Sends Prayer And Well Wishes To Cancer Stricken Singaporean

A man fighting for his life was gifted one of the best birthday gifts by his sister when she managed to get his favourite soccer team to send a personal wish for him.

In an exclusive interview with our reporter, Qeira shares on how she managed to get through to Liverpool FC just to cheer her brother-in-law up on his birthday.

Qeira’s brother-in-law, Husin was diagnosed with melanoma, a blood and skin cancer since December 2018. His cancer is currently at stage 4 and the treatments he has to go through is taking a toll on his body.

Husin has been through a lot in his personal life since his diagnosis and Qeira wanted to do something nice for the man who has always been there for her family.

So Qeira and her daughter, Nur Sabrina, reached out to Liverpool FC and the replies came in 3 days later offering a certificate with all the autographs of the players. But upon Qeira’s request, Liverpool FC got Joe Gomez to record a special message for Husin.

“Hi there, it’s Joe from LFC. Heard you’re having a bit of a difficult time right now. Sending our best wishes down your way, you’ll never walk alone. Wish that you’ll get well soon.”

Qeira also shared that it was possible because of the guidance she received. She mentioned that it made her happy to see the smile on Husin’s face on his birthday.

Husin also received a certificate with all the autographs of LFC players. LFC proved that no fan will ever walk alone.

It’s hard to stay positive when you’re a stage 4 cancer patient because treatments cost a bomb and your body will be put through the worst pain imaginable.
