The death of Black Panther star, Chadwick Boseman took the whole world by surprise and tributes started pouring in for him. He was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016 but kept it under wraps. Chadwick underwent surgeries while filming many of his recent movies.
When the photos of him looking emaciated emerged, many assumed Chadwick was losing weight for his upcoming movies. Fans were also concerned with his drastic weight loss but in true Chadwick’s fashion, he reassured his fans that he was okay.
Tributes started pouring in from the film fraternity and the cast that worked with him. They remembered him as someone who was thoughtful and generous.The Avengers cast shares their heartfelt dedications to the warm soul gone too soon.
Robert Downey Jr’s post was simple but impactful as he shared a precious moment of the both of them laughing together.
Chris Hemsworth dedicated a post to Chadwick in true ‘bro style.
Captain America was being his usual emotional self as he described the late Chadwick as being a special and an original.
Sebastian Stan mentioned how he looked up to Chadwick and the loss is a personal one.
Jeremy Renner being a man of few words, sent his condolences to the Boseman family.
Mark Ruffalo is in a reflective mode as he attributed the loss of Chadwick as another tragedy in 2020.
But perhaps, Angela Basset was the one who felt the loss on a deeper level due to her connection with Chadwick. He was the student who escorted Angela when she received her honorary degree from Howard University, even before Black Panther happened.
Lewis Hamilton dedicated his pole in the GP to Chadwick with the Wakanda Salute.
Chadwick was seen as a revolutionary actor because of the role he took as Wakanda’s King T’Challa. It was the representation the black community needed that wasn’t stereotypical. Black Panther was a movie that was as entertaining as it was educational- on what it means to be black in both America, Africa and the whole world.
He was also a generous, genuine and an inspiring role model for many around the world. This particular episode from Jimmy Fallon proves it.

Reporter’s Opinions: While the tributes are pouring in, I am more concerned with how Michael B Jordan and Lupita is taking the news. Their socials are silent and it is worrying because these people were close.
I hope his wife Taylor Simone stays strong enough to face the future without him.
