Her Horror Remakes On IGTV Are An Instant Hit, Based On True Stories

There is a strange appeal when it comes to recounts of supernatural experiences, so much so, that there are various outlets producing content about it.

As someone who has had encounters of the spooky kind, Naqiah has always wanted to be able to share her experience in her own unique way. In an exclusive interview with our reporter, she shares her drive behind the now viral IGTV stories.

THE MOTIVATION

As a storyteller, Naqiah mentioned the motivation came from wanting to share her experiences with others as well as the moral of the story that came with it. She wants the audience to feel her experience thus the way she shot her videos.

According to Naqiah, it started after she and her sister did the “Wipe it down” challenge with a twist. The eureka! moment came after seeing the ghostly end product from using household items to create the SFX look for the video.

From then on, with her team, she started making her videos.

“I’d have to say the chase because I was cornered, and I had nowhere to go.”

WHEN IT BECAME VIRAL

Naqiah was about to give up because she felt that her videos weren’t garnering the interest she anticipated, and she felt bad for wasting the crew’s time.

Naqiah started making the videos since early June but only got traction after her cousin posted an IGstory of her IGTV and a local influencer got wind of it. When her videos became viral, she was speechless but grateful that she managed to get her content across.

FUTURE PLANS

Naqiah’s videos can be found on her IGTV as well as her YouTube channel. But judging from the popularity of her videos being shared on other platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp, she may start posting her videos on other socials.

“I am particular about the quality of my videos being shared. The quality of the ripped videos is quite awful so I may consider posting it on FB as well.”

She also mentioned that there are more in the pipeline and encourage her fans to follow her on her YouTube channel as well.

Currently, the videos are being produced because of the passion Naqiah and team has for it. However, in the long run, she intends to monetize her content so that she can improve the production of their future content.
