HDB Renovation Made To Look Like A Real Construction Site

HDB Renovation

Ever wondered what industrial design concept would look like in an HDB flat? Well, an interior design studio, Creatology Design Studio unveiled their version of industrial look, that looks like a real construction site.

Yes, imagine living in a unit that has concrete finish with bare minimum furnishings.

The mock-up concept was put up by the company on Facebook on the 23rd of August and it features cement ceilings, walls and floorings. The rooms aren’t divided by walls either because, like a construction site, it is a work in progress (WIP).

The living room features plastic chairs, stools and a foldable table instead of the usual furniture. There is also the danger-keep out signage hung on the wall in place of a painting to give the space an authentic WIP feel.

The bedroom gives off a struggling hustler with a drug problem vibe, what with the open wardrobe concept and the zinc headboard.

The bright side of it is that the whole house looks spacious and airy with a lot of natural light filtering in through the full windows.

Netizens were amused by the concept and shared their two cents worth, with some even giving their own constructive criticism, pun intended.

Reporter’s Opinion: I do dig the rich hobo aesthetic.

One will truly feel like a struggling artist after paying for such a design concept. It is expensive btw.

It reminds me of the noir novels I love, where the protagonist lives in a bachelor’s pad with the bare minimum because he’s been out of work and now is investigating some shady underworld connections of his mysteriously murdered roommate.
