All 35 neighbourhood police centres islandwide will be hosting monthly coffee with a cop sessions from June onwards. It will be held at F&B outlets in respective neighbourhoods as part of an initiative to step up with their public engagement.
Residents will be able to have a chat with their local Community Police Unit (CPU) over anything for up to 2 hours with the Singapore Police Force (SPF) picking up their coffee or tea tab.
While the SPF usually engages specific groups like youths and workplace for targeted messaging, Coffee with a Cop is open to all members of the public. It is a platform to make the police more accessible to the public.
The initiative was launched during a roadshow that is being held on 18 to 19 June at One Punggol.
