Bapa tirinya, Muhammad Khairuanuar, dijatuhkan hukuman gantung selepas bedah siasat membuktikan kesalahannya.

Ibu Hanis, Farah Amanda, berkongsi berita yang melegakan itu di pautan Facebooknya.

Gadis yang berumur 2 tahun tersebut meninggal dunia akibat keretakkan pada tempurung kepalanya setelah dipukul dengan objek tumpul.

Luahan Wartawan: I cannot believe that an innocent girl like Hanis has been subjected to such cruelty. She would have been 7 years old now.

Despite modernisation, I feel that humanity has regressed in certain aspects like child abuse.

For what it’s worth, justice has been served for Hanis but, there are more similar cases out there. Thus, its imperative that we spread awareness about this. We are not perfect but we can strive for improvement.

I am containing the anger and resentment I have towards the stepfather as I am writing but I can only pray for her and her mother as they have been given this act of equity to be able to move on from this ordeal.
