Afghan Girl Crowned A Hero After Gunning Down Two Taliban Militants Who Killed Her Parents
A teenage Afghan girl has been crowned a hero on social media after the news of her shooting down 2 Taliban militants responsible for murdering her parents.
Hailing from the town of Ghor, a severely underdeveloped area in rural Afghanistan where incidences of violence against women are high, the teen, Qamar Gul and her younger brother are the only surviving members of their family.
Gul is believed to be between the ages of 14 and 16 years old, used the family’s AK-47 assault rifle to gun down 2 militants and left several others wounded.
According to local officials in Ghor, the Taliban came to the house because her father who was the village chief, was a pro government supporter. They also added that Gul and her brother have been taken to a safe place.
Netizens applauded her bravery for standing up against the oppressors and taking justice into her own hands for the untimely death of her parents.
Luahan Wartawan:
There will come a time when the oppressed will stand up to their oppressors and when they do, it should strike fear in the hearts of those who are evil and wake up the sleeping courage in those who are scared.
I have nothing but respect for Gul.
There are a lot of talented and smart young women in Afghanistan, but their wings are clipped simply because these cowardly men believe in a doctrine that was made to mislead the world.
An eye for an eye makes the world go blind they say but in a country where justice is corrupt, there is no way to avenge the death of a loved one except to spill the blood of the ones who spilled the first blood.
